They were caught red-handed abusing customer medical data

OSA Network friends, CASPIAN members and associates:
Our friends at the Privacy Rights Clearinghouse are looking for customers of Albertsons, Sav-On, Jewel-Osco, and Osco pharmacies who received letters or calls asking them to renew their prescription or suggesting they try a new drug. This may have occurred years ago, with the communication often designed as a refill reminder from their friendly family pharmacist.
These companies were caught red-handed abusing customer medical data for marketing purposes. They are being sued for improperly using prescription information provided to their pharmacies to mail letters or call customers in order to sell more drugs.
If you received such a communication, please contact Beth Givens, founder of the Privacy Rights Clearinghouse at:
(619) 298-3396 or http://www.privacyrights.org/about_us.htm
I have the highest respect for Beth’s work and her organization. Her letter on this issue appears below.
In freedom,
Katherine Albrecht, Ed.D.

There is no such thing as privacy anymore, if you want privacy, you’ll have to go over a long-ass privacy policy with a fine-toothed comb which will get broken anyway.
Ever notice how there is no law that lets you demand the information on how a company got your e-mail address?
