Enough is Enough, Help MySpace Improve Safety Efforts

OSA is asking in support of Enough Is Enough’s (EIE) continuing efforts to make the Internet a safer place for children and families, we are asking that you become an Internet safety beta-tester for MySpace.com, the nation’s most popular social networking website, and provide them with as much feedback as you can regarding the beta-version of their new parental notification software, ParentCare (formerly known as Zephyr). The software was designed to help parents determine if their teen has a MySpace profile and what basic information (name, age and hometown) is listed on their profile.

Here’s where we need your help: Before MySpace publicly launches ParentCare, they are requesting that parents of teen-aged children use the beta-version of the software and provide feedback on their experience. Your comments will help MySpace determine if the software is ready for public use, and that it works both easily and properly. Your help will also strengthen MySpace efforts to provide increased and innovative safety measures to their community of users.

Interested? If you share EIE’s commitment to making the Internet a safer place for your children, please consider becoming a beta-tester of the ParentCare beta-release software from MySpace. To get started, please go to the following link: http://zephyr.speaktech.com/faq.aspx. There you will find instructions on installing ParentCare beta, providing feedback, and uninstalling the software when you are done. The ParentCare beta software only works for PC users (not MAC compatible).

MySpace is requesting that all comments and feedback be in by Tuesday, July 31, 2007.

On behalf of OSA Network, and EIE, we thank you very much for your participation.

OSA Editorial Comments:

We have to start now to Protect Your Child from Internet Predators who stalk them on MySpace, please talk to your children has to be the first course of action! if we are going stop them in the future on MySpace or anywhere online Predators hide out! If we can’t catch them and punish for there crimes, how do we even stand a chance protecting our children.

We need to start making the  &  pay with real punishment or real jail time! And we need to begin to say: “” or scream out from the rooftops that
“Were not going to Take IT Anymore!!”
